England have secured a deserved, if expected, victory over footballing minnows Andorra.McLaren's team continued from their first half performance against Greece, with a high-tempo, attacking, game plan including plenty of width.
Downing and Gerrard (and later Richardson and Lennon) saw plenty of the ball and crosses from wide created three of England's five goals.
Peter Crouch and Steven Gerrard had Andorra 2-0 down within 15 minutes, while two Jermain Defoe strikes and Crouch's second completed the scoring.
Owen Hargreaves twice hit the woodwork, John Terry was unlucky from a header and Jermain Defoe was denied a hat-trick by some good goalkeeping.
England played well and deserved the victory, but tougher tests are to come for this new England team.
